As the venerable 90s group Real 2 Real once sang:
I like to move it, move it
I like to move it, move it
I like to move it, move it
You like to move it
This is my theme song these days. Whether I’m at the gym at lunch time or hoofing it through our new hood or trying out other activity that requires working up the slightest or heaviest of sweats, I like to move it.
I forgot what endorphins feel like. Since joining the gym in May, I’m tapping into that rush of feel good endogenous opioid neuropeptides more often, I feel great. In fact, I’m enjoying moving it so much today I might just sign up for a race in the fall. This is me feeling motivated and goal-ish. What about you? Have you run a 5K? 10K? What do you recommend starting out at.
I like to move it and am learning to run after a long, long hiatus. It feels clunky but it also feels good. More to come on that topic soon. But for now I’m gonna listen to this and get out there and move it as often as possible. You?
